I was recently at a seminar by Caroline Melberg and she said something that I found very interesting. Blogging once or twice a week isn’t that great. WHAT? I thought that would be good as long as you did it on the same day every week. And it’s not?

Well - it seems that it is WAY better to blog every day.

I know that people are thinking that I don’t have a lot to say, or you are comparing what you have to say to your competition. But your competition is not your target audience. And to those people you always have things to say.

So give it a try with me - try to blog something ervery day. It does not have to be a whole loooong article - it can be a sentance or two. So TRY!

What is means - you can update the site yourself with ease.

There is no doubt that the ability to update your site yourself is something that is highly coveted. At what cost will all of this be? Well - it all depends on what you need it to be able to do and what program/application you choose.

Many CMS’s are programs that are built into your web site. Some are freeware that your designer/developer must code to make work. Some are web based applications that you can use for a monthly fee.

Let’s talk about your needs and figure out what is best. It might mean that another designer better fits your needs!

Successful-Blog (not really social media - but social.)

I really enjoy them all for different reasons - but I have to say that I love Plurk and Successful-Blog the most. Plurk is definately a daily thing. But Successful-Blog has an open mic night on Tuesday nights. Now it’s not really open mic - it’s open comments! She opens up the comments and it’s like we are all instant messaging each other.

First of all it is really fun and the people are really nice. Secondly I make the best connections there and find wonderful people that I can ask questions to. But just as important are the great bits of information that I pick up every time I can attend. It’s not something that I can do every week - but I love it when I can!

So what do I do?   Do I continue the way that I am going?  Do I quit my business and go full time somewhere else?  Do I change my business?

Well - after weeks of soul searching, talking to friends in the biz, and talking to hubs - I had the answer!  I am keeping my biz and working with different contractors.

I have started doing this and I love the way things are working so far!
