Edit > Undo

I have obviously spent too much time with technology and on the computer lately.  Whenever something goes wrong, or I make a mistake, I immediately think “edit > undo.”  And then quickly realize that I cannot do that in real life.

Real life is not as easy as the computer world.  You can’t take things back.  And there are many times that you want to.  Maybe you added too much of an ingredient, maybe you said something that you shouldn’t have said, maybe you threw the wrong stuff away.  What ever the reason, sometimes you just want to back up.

The biggest one that I want to undo is the death of my grandfather.  He died a little over a year ago.  I happened to be thinking about him the other day and I immediately wanted him back.  I thought “edit > undo”!  Too bad it doesn’t work that way.

This is real life.  I am glad that we don’t have easy solutions and that we have to deal with our mistakes.

But I still wish tht sometimes we could just hit edit > undo.
