Saving To Disks
Okay – I know a lott of you may know this – but I did not.
You know how somretimes you copy stuff to CD’s? You know how you can close the CD and have it readable by other computers? You know hw when you cllose it you can no longer write to it?
I know all of these things. So I kept the CD’s open so that when I made updates I could just get it from the disk and rewrite to it. Therefore I could take the information off my computer.
BAAADDD!!!
I did not realize that if my writable CD-Rom crashed then everything that was on a disk and NOT closed I could no longer read! AHHHHHHH!
Luckily I just found that out from a fellow web designer and everything I have is now closed and I do not worry about. Thanks Dan!
The moral is: make surre that your back up is full-proof and that you even have a backup! Do you?
